This is my beautiful friend Srujana! Srujana is SO STRONG! Srujana is visiting America from India and needs support. India goes by a caste system. Srujana was born into the lowest caste. She is looked down upon by society and is denied basic human rights. When she was 8 years old, Srujana met American Christians who came to India on a missions trip. From that moment she realized a different life is available to her. Instead of surrendering to the beliefs of those in her community, Srujana operates under the belief that she is SO LOVED!!! She started rebelling against the caste system even though it meant losing the support of friends and loved ones. She is now 27 years old and currently houses 70+ children where they attend school and are taught that they matter and that they are enough. Her family also works to plant churches in India. I am devoting this week to spreading awareness to send money and clothing to help. I am temporarily making youth “YOU ARE SO LOVED” t-shirts to send to the children. They can be found in the TEAM SRUJANA section in the Mervie Designs store. Shipping is more expensive than we are used to, but it is not terrible considering we are shipping internationally.
